Heterotridentate Organomonophosphines in Pt(η3-P1C1C2)(Y) and Pt(η3-P1C1N1)(Y) Derivatives—Structural Aspects

This paper covers Pt(II) complexes of the compositions Pt(η3-P1C1C2)(Y) (Y = NL or I) and Pt(η3-P1C1N1)(Y), Y OL, NL, CL, Cl Br). These crystallized in four crystal classes: monoclinic (9 examples), triclinic (3 orthorhombic tetragonal (2 examples). The structural parameters (Pt-L, L-Pt-L) are analyzed discussed with attention to distortion square-planar geometry about atoms trans-influence. data compared those Pt(η3-P1N1N2)(Y), Pt(η3-P1N1X1)(Y), (X1=O1, C1, S1, Se1), Pt(η3-N1P1N2)(Cl), Pt(η3-S1P1S2)(Cl), Pt(η3-P1S1Cl1)(Cl), Pt(η3-P1Si1N1)(OL) types. Each heterotridentate ligand creates two metallocyclic rings a common central ligating atom. η3-ligands form twenty-three types metallocycles differ by number type involved rings.
